Transgender Youth Busts Myths
Transgender Youth Busts Myths is a film created by Fox Fisher and Trans Youth for My Genderation. From the United Kingdom, the group addresses some of the common questions members of the transgender community often receive. It was created for the National Trans Youth Network Conference in 2015.
My Genderation is an ongoing film project created by Fisher and Lewis Hancox. They record the experiences and perspectives of gender variance. Their mission is to create engaging short films which accurately represent individual journeys with gender expression and self-identity. Lewis Hancox & Fox Fisher were part of a prime time series called My Transsexual Summer, which started a national dialogue about the transgender experience in the UK.

I think Fox Fisher and Lewis Hancox are doing great work. They profile some interesting stories along with the journeys of the transgender community in the UK. The teens in the Transgender Youth Busts Myths do a great job of addressing some of the questions so many of us receive in this piece. It goes to show that it is not much different for the transgender community no matter where we live in the world. Transgender rights are certainly a global issue and it may take all of us working together to gain true equality. Fisher and Hancox are certainly doing their part to create a conversation.
