Presidential candidates Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump both appeared on Jimmy Kimmel recently and they were asked about their stance on transgender bathroom laws.
Bernie Sanders came out for transgender rights and applauded President Obama for what he is trying to accomplish.
“The attacks against transgender people is part of a bigotry that has got to end and I applaud the president for what he’s trying to do on that.” – Senator Bernie Sanders
Republican Nominee Donald Trump also met with Kimmel and stated that the decision should be left up to the states to decide individually.
“I think it’s pretty simple, let the states decide. You know we have to protect everybody.”
When asked what was the right thing to do, Trump responded, “I don’t know yet.”
It appears both candidates are also willing to debate each other in a stadium event. According to Trump he would want 12 – 15 million dollars to do so with proceeds going to charity.
